Our Team
We combine Speech & OT, to provide you one Sweet 'SPOT' to develop your skills.
We started out as Sweet Speech Pathology in 2020 and we have since grown. We decided to change our name slightly to Sweet Spot Therapy in 2024, to better reflect our team-based approach.
Amanda Kennedy
Senior Speech Pathologist
Hi! I’m Amanda, a Senior Speech Pathologist and the owner of Sweet Spot Therapy. I am lucky enough to have been a Speech Pathologist since 2004. I love my job and find it so rewarding to help someone develop their communication skills.
I completed a Bachelor of Science (Human Communication Science) and I am a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) through Speech Pathology Australia. This means I’m always learning new evidence based ways to treat communication issues.
As a Speech Pathologist, I have extensive experience working with people with a disability, having worked in the Disability service sector for most of my career. I have also worked with all ages and needs in Private Practices and I have a broad range of experience in Speech Pathology. I have completed additional training such as Prompt, Sounds-Write and DIR/Floortime.
I’m also a Mum of 3 kids and on the weekends, you’ll find my family at our beloved Scarborough beach. I look forward to meeting you and helping you or your family member optimise their communication potential.
Monique Lehoczky
Senior Speech Pathologist
My name is Monique and I am a Senior Speech Pathologist. I graduated with a Master of Speech Pathology from Curtin University. I have worked as a Speech Pathologist for 10 years in the not-for-profit disability sector and private practice. I completed my undergraduate training in Public Health and am passionate about providing a holistic and family-centred service to my clients.
I am a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) and committed to keeping up to date with evidence-based treatment approaches to ensure high quality therapy services.
I have completed a number of specialised trainings including PROMPT therapy, The Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding Therapy and Hanen More Than Words. My special interest areas include early language and feeding. I am skilled in a range of different areas and can support clients with difficulties relating to their speech, language, literacy, fluency, voice, feeding and mealtimes. I also have extensive experience supporting people who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
I feel fortunate to share in each person's communication and/or feeding journey. I am passionate about supporting people to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
I am a proud mum of two young sons and in my spare time you will find me out and about enjoying nature with my family. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you or your family member.

I have worked in the disability sector for close to 20 years, after completing my Bachelor of Science (Human Communication Science) at Curtin University. I love working with families and being part of a team to develop the potential in people with communication difficulties.
I am a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) through Speech Pathology Australia. Through this certification, I continue to learn about evidence-based practices to apply in my daily work. I am also a Key Word Sign Presenter and have completed additional training, including Prompt, Sounds-Write and Hanen (It Takes Two to Talk and More Than Words).
I am experienced in working with people of all ages and with varying needs. I have a particular interest in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and feel passionate about communication access for
all in our communities.
My spare time is spent with my husband and two young sons, exploring the playgrounds of Perth
and enjoying a chino at our local cafe. I also love to dance!
I look forward to working with our wonderful clients and families.
Louise McCartney
Senior Occupational Therapist
My name is Louise and I am a Senior Occupational Therapist. I have worked with children in both the disability and community health sector for 20 years, having first completed a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) at the UWA and then a Masters of Occupational Therapy at Curtin university.
I have worked predominantly with children diagnosed with developmental delays or neurodiversity (Autistic Spectrum Disorder and ADHD), supporting them and their families to develop functional skills for school and home. This has included everything from supporting sleep routines, toileting and dressing to learning to use transport independently and being organised for class. I especially enjoy supporting children in learning to regulate their sensory systems so they can manage the school day. I work with parents, schools and other professionals to set each child up for success, adapting the sensory and learning environment for each child’s needs and improving participation.
When I am not working you can find me enjoying a coffee or taking my gorgeous dog for a walk with my two children. We are keen campers so you can also find me exploring the camping grounds near and far in our beautiful state.
